One Rappahannock farmer realizing the importance of protecting the good pastures developed through liming fertilization, and other worth while practices, has recently purchased 130 lbs. and had it applied in pasture fields adjacent to existing primary food plants of the adult beetles near which the female lays her eggs in short growth as pastures and lawns wherein the beetle grubs live for a period of about 8 months duration by feeding on the grass roots.
