And wait until some of the citizens from the hollows get through with him!

Just as kt Christmas each year you will find a reprint of“Dear Virginia", here is one that will become, no doubt, another Newspaper Classic.

It was written for the Des Moines Capital by a former U. S. Senator, who left this message to he read to his grand children on their 21st birthdays.

Every grown man thinks that if he had another chance and his age were twenty-one he would set the world afire in the way of achievement. He thinks he would omit every mistake which he feels he has made and make everything count. It is perfectly right for every man to feel this way but it is perfectly right for him to know that if he were starting over again he would duplicate his former mistakes and make more co'ossal errors. A man who has succeeded reasonably well might succeed better. Those who have failed would undoubtedly fail again.

If I were twenty-one 1 would devote more time to sport and when I worked I would work harder than I have ever been able to work.
