To Honor Miu Dollie Hite
On Friday, Jane 16, between the hoars of 3 and 5 p.m. at “Thornton Hill,” the home of Mrs. William Meade Fletcher at Sperryville, friends of Miss Mary Elizabeth Hite will entertain at a complimentary party honoring: Rappahannock’s new authoress.
The many friends of Mias Dolly Hite in Rappahannock and the adjoining counties, who are interested in her recent publics-^ tion, “My Rappahannock Story Book,” which is just off the press are cordially extended an invitation to attend the party.
Brasher* Graduate
At Maryland University
Mrs. Z. H. Sealock attended the
University of Maryland Saturday, ■when her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Alfred Brasher received their degrees. Later in the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Brasher left for a motor trip to Waco, Tekas, where they will spend two weeks with Mr. Brasher’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Brasher. Robert Sealock of Washington, D. C., accompanied them as far as Dandridge, Tenn., where he will spend his vacation. Mrs. Sealock who remained in Alexandria for a week-end visit with her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Brown, returned to Sperryville early Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Brown, who were enroute to the Banker’s Convention at Hot Springs, later going to White Sulphur Springs, W. Va., where they will spend their vacation, before returning to their home in Alexandria.
