Mr. Clarence Streeter and daughter of Maryland, spent last Saturday atheir home at Amissville.
John Quaintance and son John Weston Quaintance, Jr., of Winchester; Mr. and Mrs. Farley, Mr. George Lillard Quaintance and daughter Annett Quaintance of Alexandria, were week-end guests of Mrs. R. G. Quaintance.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown motored to Glasgow Tuesday to •visit Mr. E. E. Gound, who is quite ill at his home there. They were accompanied to Blacksburg ■by Jack Brown and Jimmy Thornton, who will resume their classes at VPI.
Carroll Menefee Jr., who has been ‘spending a ten-day furlough with his mother Mrs. Carroll Menefee, returned to Wichita Falls, Texas, Tuesday, he was accompanied as far as Washington, D. C., by his sister Mrs. Jaenie Jarvis and Mrs.,James M. Yates.
John Quaintance of Winchester; John W. Quaintance, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Farley, Mr. George LilTard Quaintance and daughter Annett, Mr. Stanley Sugart and Mrs. H. B. Wood attended the Moore— Turner wedding Saturday, in Culpeper.
Joseph B. Reid who spent several days last week at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. G Reid, returned Sunday to N. C. State College, u.aleigh, North Carolina, where he will serv'd as assistant instructor for a period of ten weeks at the summer camp there.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Perry and family were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs, Gardner Mills and— Mrs. Henry Mills at Huntly. Other guests in the Mills home were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Huff and two children, Richard and Jimmy Huff of Front Royal. Recent guests in the Perry home were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Perty and son of Charlottesville.
