Beekeepers To Meet
In Charlottesville
Virginias beekeepers will meet . for their third annual short course at Charlottesville December 7 and 8, John M. Amos, associate entomologist at VPI and short course chairman, announces.
The group will bear discussions on such subjects as "Crops Requiring Insect J’ollination,” “Pollen and How It Is Used in the Hive," and "Packaging and Marketing of Honey."
Speakers for the first day’s sessions include Amos, and J. 0. Rowell, also an entomologist at VPI; George J. Abrams, University of Maryland; George H. Rea, Reynoldsville, Pa; M. L. Bobb, Piedmont Fruit Research Laboratory, Charlottesville; and C. H. Pirkey, Charlottesville.
H. W. Weatherford, state bee - iirspector» Vernon Hill; W. A.Stephen, North Carolina State College, F. Marion Dick, and M. D. Meyers, Jr., both of Brookneal, are among , those scheduled to . speak on thesecond day’s program.
Demonstrations on management of bees and care of equipment also will be featured.

Among the parties over the holidays was a birthday dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor honoring their two daughters and r* daughter-in-law, Mrs. Thomas Coz'~«io, of Washington, D.C., Miss Joan Kelly Aylor, a student at Madison College, and Mrs. H. H. Ayfor. Other members of the family besides the honor guests were' . Mr. and Mrs. Joe H. Aylor, their children Joe; Jr., Ann Yates, and H. H. Aylor Jr.
Mr. and Mrs. William Williams, of Flint Hill also entertained a family dinner party.
Mrs. Z. H. Sealock had as her dinner guests the Rev. and Mrs. W. T. Waterhouse and their little daughter Jean Mary and Robert W. Sealock, of Washington, D.C.

Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Wake, Jr., - and small son "Chappie” and Miss Ann Wake, of Amburg and Phillip Wake, of Baltimore, were Thanksgiving holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman.

Miss Jean Taylor, who spent the week end at "Linger Longer” returned on Sunday to Ithaca, N.Y., where she is connected with Cornell University.
Mrs. J. Randolph Kerrick and son Everett Kerrick, of Culpeper, were guests on Monday of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman.
