Sperryville No. 2 4-H club will meet at school December 4, 11 o’clock.
AmissVille 4-H club will meet at the school December 5, 2 p.m.
Forest Grove 4-H club will meet at school December 6, 2 p.m.
Washington H.D. club will meet at Washington Firehouse, December 6 at 7:80. The demonstration will be on wrapping Christmas presents. .
Reager 4-H club will meet at Huntly school December 7, 10 a.m. _. . Huntly Home Demonstration - club will meet at the home of Mrs. Pearl Mills, December 7, at 2 p.m. A living room tour will be held before the meeting starts. We will first go to Louise Mills’s to see her improved living room, and then go back to Mrs. Pearl Mills’s to see her improved living room. After this, a regular meeting of the Huntly H.D. club will be held. The demonstration will be on wrapping Christmas presents. Every woman in the county who is interested in doing something to her living room, come os and take this tour. The women have done a fine job in greatly improving their living rooms. Pm sure you will be able to get some grand ideas from them.

Well, it wont be long till Christmas. You’re probably in the process of buying presents at the present time. Here is some advice given to gift givers who are buying toys for the baby or tod-* dler: _ _.._1_ Avoid staffed animals with glass or button eyes. Examine toys to see that there are no removable parts which could be swallowed. Buy sturdy rattles, blocks with rounded corners, soft balls and dolls, and push-and-pull toys with rounded handles.
The two- to four-year-old is interested in building blocks, peg toys, large crayons, dolls, and nontipping kiddie cars.
The four- to six-year-old likes construction sets, puzzles, games, cut out sets with blunt scissors, and doll bouses.
.The six- to eight-year-old is interested in hobby materials, musical instruments, sports equipment, books, construction sets, and table top games
The council also adds this final word of advice to parents: don’t endanger your child with shooting or target toys, sharp scissors or poorly built wagons or carts. Don’); buy toys that are too heavy and complicated for the child to handle. Avoid sharp-edged tools
