The Christmas gift season is fast descending upon us. Somewhere in this fair land is uthe

efficient lady wh ©already has^her . Christmas presents wrapped and ready, for she followed a suggestion made last year that she get them ready all during the year. Somewhere among Uncle Sam’s nephews and nieces is that careful and thoughtful person iwho has her Christmas shopping all outlined and planned and will have it completed on tithe and correctly labeled. Also somewhere else (and these places are more numerous) are located the folks who are enjoying seeing all the Christmas decorations going up on the streets and in store windows. They are planning vaguely and nonetoo-efficiently what they should do about the holiday gift season before it suddenly pounces upon them like it did last year—and the year before that. It will dawn— upon them, at the last minute,' that their Christmas present get - ting is *way behind schedule and then, in a mad fury, they will __ rush hither and yon to. get presents wrapped and mailed!

This latter group of people can v be described at great length. To begin with, I’m more familiar with that group—being a member of - the same society—and it is generally supposed that this group also numbers a far larger majority than the group composed of all the efficient and industrious shoppers.
