Miss Rebecca Rutherford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rutherford, of SpefcTyville, became the bride of Earl Starner, at a double ring ceremony at Reynolds Memorial Racist church, Sperryviljle, Saturday, June 16. Mr. Starner is the son * of Mrs. Franklin Starner and the late Mr. Starner, of Washington, D.C.
Miss Rutherford was given in marriage by her father, Hairy Rutherford. Her gown iwas net over white satin, with finger-tip veil, she carried an orchid on a white prayer book. Miss Bdtty Rutherford, sister of the-.. bride, was maid of honor, she wore lavender organdy and carried red roses. Miss Lorraine Christopher, of Washington, D.C., was Miss Rutherford’s brides’ maid, she Avore aqua organdy and carried red roses. v
Mr. Starner had as his best man, his brother, Muriel Starner, of Washington, D.C. Ushers were Edward McLane, of Washington, D.C., and *tlaude Fox, of Luray. Mrs. James Atkins, of Sperryville, sang “Because” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” Following the wedding service a reception was held at ithe home of the bride. After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Starner will make their home in Washington, D.C.
