In the Dakotas and Wisconsin marriages in June average twice the daily number for the year, and in Oregon, Vermont, Minnesota, Massachusetts fnd Nebraska they are at least 70 per cent higher.
June, however, is not the preferred month for weddings in all sections of the country. December is the favored month in South Carolina, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Georgia. In Nevada, there is no pronounced seasonal pattern, although the summer months are popular, and in Utah the month of choice is May.
June is most popular among girls marrying for the first time, and they constitute about four-t fifths of all brides.
Although women who are remarrying also prefer June, their marriages are more evenly distributed through the year. The excess ' of June marriages for brides who were married before is about two-thirds less than for those entering their first marriage.
Divorcees choose almost equally between June and July, and widows prefer the early fall almost! as much as June. —Boston Traveler. *
