If you have a crick in your back or a slip that’e showing from using an undersized mirror, you’ll be happy to know how easy and inexpensive it is to install a real full-length plate glass door mirror yourself. For good grooming such a mirror is essential, and can be installed in minutes following steps suggested by the Pittsburgh Plate Glass company. Here are the steps, following the sketches above:
(1) Measure the distance edge to edge of the door itself and give that measurement to your local dealer He takes care of proper mirror, width, and the length is stahdard.
^2) When the mirror is delivered, enlist the aid" of the strong back around the house and remove the door upon which you intend to mount the mirror. Place the door flat on the floor and center mirror on door so it completely covers recessed panels and the mirror edges lie over the thick part of the door. _(3) Six plastic clips come with the Venetian type mirrors. Place them as shown in the sketch, first inserting a small pad of folded cleansing tissne behind the mirror at the spot where the clip will be. Screw the clips to the door, rehang, and you’re all done. Molding comes with the frames type. Simply screw molding into place with screws provided.
