Miss Marion DeLeon, general field representative. Eastern Area Aihencan* vriA m nappahannock county Monday to meet with a group of interested citisens regarding this county’s participation in the Red Cross blood donor program.
The discussion lead to the present set-up of trying to see if there is a possibility of having one of the Red Cross mobile units come into the county to receive the blood from donors. Local citizens feel that it is not fair to ask the mobile unit to plan the trip unless the regular number of donors can be obtained.
A mobile unit expects to get 150 pints of blood per visit and it makes two visits per jfbar.
This. blood given to the Red Cross is primarily for civilian use. Any county patient is entitled to this blood free of charge. Some of the blood, of course, is sent to Korea if it is needed, but most of it is in hospitals for use by the ill from the county from which it is giran.
