Attend Church Dinner
At “Millermead”
Among those entertaining at the Episcopal church dinner at “Mil* lermead” Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell, who had as their guests Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. Robert Caldwell, and Mrs. Preston Avery. Rayner V. Snead entertained Mrs. Annie Snead, Miss Marjorie Snead, Mrs. John Snead, and Miss Betty Lewis Snead. Mrs. Frank Jones had as, her guests Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones and family, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Baggarly, and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Turner and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr., had as their guests Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wood.
Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller entertained at dinner at “Millermead” Sunday evening, having as their guests Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. Preston Avery, Mrs. Robert Caldwell, Dave Miller, and Newbill Miller.

County Top* Cancer Goal
The latest bulletin from the Virginia Division American Cancer Society shows that Rappahannock county is listed among the “quota toppers," with 1535.82 reported when the county’s goal was only $450.
Neighboring counties show reports that bespeak of the interest of citixens in fighting cancer:
Fauquier county over-subscribed its goal of $3300 with $5101; Culpeper went over the top of it* $ 1000-goal with $1354.12; Front Royal and Warren county so far have met their $1500-gOal with exactly the amount of the goal; and Page county almost doubled its $ 1200-goal with $2103.22. All reports were not in from Madison county, for its $500-goal had only $274.75 turned in at this date.
