Following the war between the states the Parish was in the care of such distinguished ministers as Rev. Rutherford Brown; Rev. J. Gibbon Minnegerode; and Rev. John Ambler. Well remembered are Rev. Willoughby Newton Claybrook and Rev. Norwood Tillinghast. In 1929 while Rev. Laurance Brent was-rector, the church was demolished by a terrific tornado.
Among well-known families that have worshipped in the little church were the Voss, Skinner, Walden, Fitzhugh, Pringle, Mason, Fletcher, Crane, Asquith, Manning, Hughes, Anderson, Shackelford, Winfield and Reid families.
Thomas Vigis, of Parish Munden, Hertfordshire, England, was a prominent member of the vestry. Captain Walden, an active vestryman in the early life of the church. In later years James W. Fletcher and William Mason.
A marker now stands on the spot where once stood the communion table. A peaceful church-yard is all that remains — St. Paul’s Episcopal Church-yard.
