arm owners and operators who have regular hired help and who have not yet registered for filing the quarterly social security tax , returns should do so immediately in order that they may get on tha mailing list for receiving the tax forms every quarter.
Regular farm hands who have never had social security accounb numbers or who have lost their social security cards should apply for new ones or duplicates as the case may be.
A woman who does housework in a farm household is considered the same as a hired hand as far as reporting for social security purposes is concerned. In other words, she must meet the same requirements as a hired man to be considered regularly employed.
For those hired farm work erg who meet thje requirements of the new law this Government insurance provides monthly payments to them and their dependents when the workers retire after reaching age 65 and pay-t ments to their families when they die.
The Alexandria office, in addition to the city of Alexandria, services the counties of Arlington, Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William, and Rappahannock. Office hours are from 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) on Monday through Friday.

Home Agent
Arrives September 1
The Rappahannock Board of Supervisors at their July meeting concurred with the VPI Extension Service in the appointment of Miss Elizabeth Fuss as home agent! September 1.
Miss Fuss has recently had some experience with Missi J^izabeth Farrar, Culpeper Home Agent, and is now attending an Extension Training Course at VPI. She will later work with Miss Virginia Rucker as assistant agent in Madison.
Miss Fuss is a graduate of Shepherd College and was a 4-H member for eleven years. She also had four years experience as a home economics teacher.
The women and girls are urged to continue their monthly meetings while they await the arrival of Miss Fuss.
Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Lelia Gentry, Jane Riley, Kelly Ujdike, Carlyle Lea and Newbill Miller, delegates to the 4-H Short Course, report an interesting and enjoyable week.
