The Northern Virginia Livestock Producer’s Association will hold its second annual Livestock Field Day at the Front Royal Beef Cattle Research Station on August II at 10 a.m.
It has often been said, “If you are seeking advice, go to the man who has <been successful in his own field." With this in mind, the field day committee has selected a panel of five successful livestock produce rsi^vho will answer any question relating to any phase of the livestock industry from the production to marketing.
C. T. Rice, Oakton; Virginia, one of the pioneers of the grassland syitem of farming in Virginia, will speak on pasture management and the making of grass silage. George Palmer, owner and operator of Riverdale Farms at •Charlottesville, and president of the Eastern Polled Hereford Association, will have the subject of “Wintering the Beef Cow Herd."
“Wintering Calves and Grain Finishing Steers” will be the topic discussed by Nornfan Warfield, a beef cattle feeder from Ellicottj City, Maryland. -— -
