To my fellow citizen’s of Rappahannock County:
Having served you as Sheriff of this county since May 18, 1950, I hereby announce myself as a candidate for election, subject to the November election.
On June 6, 1951, I filed a declaration of candidacy^ with the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee and a few days later I was declared the Democratic Nominee for Sheriff of Rappahannock County.
Should you see fit to elect me on November 6th, I will endeavor to render to you the same service I have given you for the last 14 months.
