Pfc. Edward A. Lawrence and Pfc. Frank R. Zlnn have completed their course in “Field Rapid Repair” at the Signal School at Ft. Monmouth, N. J.
Graduation exercises were held July 24 at the post theater where diplomas and the rank of Private First Class was awarded each man who successfully completed the 6-months course.
Pfc. Lawrence and Zinn will report to Southern Pines, N. Cm on August 8 to participate in maneuvers until September 1. From there they will return to their home poet at Ft. George G. Meade, Md.
Pfc. Lawrence and ^inn, both from Amissville. were inducted in the army in the November '60 draft call.

Picnic Supper Given at
“Honey iSuckle Glen”
Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Atkins, their children and greadchildren, who were week-end guests at their country home, “Honey Suckle Glen,” had a picnic dinner at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on Sunday, which was greatly enjoyed by all present. There by the stream under the lovely shade trees the coll rippling water gate a note of relaxation and rest, fulness. Those present were, besides the hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Robertson, Mrs. G. A. Raleigh, and Mr. and Mrs, > J. Earl Atkins, of . JkO-- Hs** man Atkins and eon, Wayne, of Luray, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh S. Atkins and two sons and daughter, Bobby and Hugh S., Jr., and Mary Sue Atkins.
