4-H’er» Leave for Camp
Monday morning's cold and wet weather failed to dampen the spirits of the boys and girls leaving for_4-H camp at Powells Fort Valley camp.
Mutt Atkins drove the school bus-load of 4-H’ers to camp.
From Reager school were Louise Williams, Maybelle Williams, and Rosa Belle Williams; from Flint Hill were Eleanor Atkins, Paula Miller, Sara Flythe, and Polly Nethers. Sperryvjlle school was represented by Faye Black, Elsie Mae Jenkins, Bobby Jenkins, Tom Wayland, Hill Walker, Becky Jones, Evelyn Tyler Miller, Betty Johnson, Mary Norman Davis, and Milly Sisk. From Washington the club boys and girls were Neville Wood, Margaret Walter, Lelia Gentry, Richard Griffith, Carlyle Lea, Ann Brady, Archie Bailey, Carolyn Gates Turner, Catherine Carter, and Peggy Priest. From Amissville school, were Patricia Weaver, Shirley Pde, and Buddy Tapp. —
The boys and girls were accompanied by two leaders, Mrs. Barbara Gentry and Miss Gladys Reid.
Four County Boys Enlist
The U. S. Army and U. S. Air Force Recruiting station in Culpeper has reported four more enlistments from Rappahannock.
Robert H. Harrison and Russell F. Goode of Flint Hill, and Warren fi. Settle and William L. Ramey of Washington have been sent to Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, for basic training.
