Miss Frances Christian Newbill of Center Cross was the guest this week for several days of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller at “Maple Spring.”

Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Pullen and family of Luray and Miss Margaret Dodson of Flint Hill .were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Pullen.

Minor Lewis of Washington, D. C., was a week-end guests of Mrs. Jaenie Jarvis in the home of Mrs. Carroll Menefee.

Mrs. Harry L. Smith and her daughter, Elizabeth Harrison, returned Sunday to the home of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Brown after a month’s stay in Providence, R. L, to be with Seamap Smith, who has been stationed there for some time, leaving last Friday for Newfoundland with the Seabees, having been transferred recently to that division.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Waterson and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. George Hales, of Washington, D. C., are spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Spicer at Woodville.

Mrs. Lily Barber and Maurice O’Bannon motored to Buchannen county on Saturday to attend the Stokes-Bowling wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hackley of Luray were dinner guests Monday of Miss Virginia Tapp at Amissvffle.

Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Thompson and daughter, Debbie, of Lynchburg are guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lea at their home on Mt. Salem avenue.
