Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Wharton and Mrs. J. H. Brown and children, Jimmie and Jean, motored to Centreville Sunday to attend a picnic dinner given .by joint hostesses, Mrs. T. H. Utz of Estes and Mrs. Orie Corbin of Culpeper, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Wharton at Centreville. Others attending the dinner were Mrs. Henry Wharton, Lavinia and Ervin Wharton, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Clatterbuck and daughters, Betty Lou and Dot, Mr. and Mrs. Orie Corbin and family, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Uts and family, Dan Dodson, and Donald Makely.
Mrs. Tom Hall of Richmond spent last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Yowell during the absence of Mrs. Yowell, who was the guest of her son and' daughter-in-law at their home in Blacksburg. On Sunday Thomas Hall, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hall of Heathsville motored to tl*e home of Mr. and Mrs. Yowell from Richmond for the day and a picnic given by Mr. and! Mrs. Yowell on Skyline Drive. Among those attending the picnic besides the house guests were Mr. and Mrs. Everett Yowell, Mr. and Mrs. Jack YoweU of Bealeton, who were also week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Yowell.
