Home-coming at the First Baptist church Sunday was one of the most enjoyable days for folks who attended. There were former members of the church from all parts of the country: Washington, D.C., New York, Philadelphia, and Ohio. The guest ministers were Rev. Anderson, Rev. Ellis Turner, both of Washington, D.C.; Rev. Braithwait of A.'M.E. church in Front Royal; Rev. Aaron Mackley of Arlington; and Sister Hattie, mother of the .Philadelphia Religious Institute of Pa.
Pride of Warren Lodge No. 486 and the South River Temple no. 420 will render a special program at the First Baptist church, Washington, Sunday, August 12, at 3 p.m. Rev. T. L. Proctor will be the guest speaker. The program is sponsored by Lewis Carter, a rally captain. A dinner will also he held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Clanagan on Sunday, August 12, benefit of the First Baptist church, starting at 12 noon.
