The supper and white elephant eale held by the Rappahannock Volunteer Fire Auxiliary Saturday evening, was very successful. For a while Saturday morning it looked as if the dinner and sale would have to, be held in the fire house, but around 4 o’clock the sky cleared and the dinner was held on the lot next to the Rappahannock National Rank. $67.00 ■was cleared on the dinner and $27.50 on the white elephant sale.,

Dick Atkins entertained at a. stag party Saturday night at Sperryvilla. A4-4**«mfeele9»Rw‘<R£?sp^ motored to “Piedmont” to give a surprise welcoming party' to Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Miller. In the group were G. M. Black, Jack D« Weaver, H. H. Aylor, Joe Henry Aylor, A. M. Priest, Randolph Devers, George Taylor, Buck Lewis, Rob Estes, and Charlie Coates. Others who joined the party were Mrs. Della Howard, Mrs. Virginia Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thorn, ton, and Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood.
REVIVAL SERVICES BEGIN SUNDAY AT WILLIS CHAPEL
Revival services will begin at Willis Chapel on Sunday, August 26, at 8 p.m., and will. continue through Friday evening, August 31. The guest speaker will ba Rev, C. W. Crumb, pastor of West Hanover Circuit. Rev. Crumb is a graduate of Randolph-Maeon v College and Emery University. His home is at Beverdatn.
