Amissvilte was well represented at the Old School Baptist Assoc i-> ation in Front Royal last Saturday and Sunday.
Mrs. Ida Defers, of Flint Hill, entered Front Royal hospital for treatment Tuesday evening. During Mrs. Devers’ stay in the hospital Mrs. Robert 'Miller, and son of Winchester, will remain at the home of Mrs. Devers. -Miss Mary Miller Wood and Mrs. John Keyser were in Lexington, Monday to meet Mrs. Keyser’s brother, Mr. Long, who will return home with them to be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. John Keyser.
Leon Hackley, of Washington, D.C., spent a few days last week with his mother, Mrs. Rosia Hackley.
Comdr. and Mrs. John R. Harris of Falls Church were guests on Sunday of Mrs. Elizabeth DeBergh at “Harris Hollow Farm".
Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Presyraves of Hollywood, Fla., who were the guests last week of }/lt. and Mrs. iGuy Burke, returned |to their home Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walter entertained a few friends and relatives from Baltimore last Monday afternoon.
Capt. and Mrs. Conrad Eastham with Miss Gudrun spent Sunday at “Locust Grove" with Mrs. George W. Settle and Miss Katel Walker. Capt. Eastham is on furlough before being transferred from Ft. Bragg, N.C., to Ft. Knox, Kentucky. James Settle also visited his mother on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Downing Wood, Nancy, Alice, and Neville Wood, Andre LaAiehe and Rasmus Edzardsen .were guests of Mrs. Kent Woolfolk in Louisa Saturday evening.
