Funeral service* for Luther Albert Leake, 68, of Culpeper, a former resident and native of Rappahannock county, who died Monday, August 6, after a long period of declining health, iwere held Monday, August 8, from the Free Methodist church, with the pastor, Rev. Alma Frederick, officiating, assisted by Rev. L. H. Kelly, a former pastor, now of Spencerville, Md.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gernie Jenkins Leake; three sons, Raymond and John Lewis Leake, of Culpeper; and Jimmie Leake of Baltimore, Md. Six stepchildren also survive: Glen Jenkins, of Culpeper; Melford Jenkins, of Arlington; Alvin Jenkins, of Washington; Marshall Jenkins, of Arlington; Mrs. Thurman Jenkins, of Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. 'Paul Levier, of Akron, Ohio. Three brothers, Aubrey Leake, of New Jersey; Sam Leake, of Culpeper; and Herbert Leake of Sperryville. Two sisters, Mrs. Alice Dodson, of Baltimore, and Mrs. Anna Woodward, of Amissyille. Also three grandchildren.
