Robert L. 'Massie, Commissioner of Revenue of Rappahannock, entered McGuire hospital, Richmpnd, on Friday, August 17. He was accompanied to the hospital by Mrs. Massie, Bobbie Massie, and W. A. Miller. >
Reports from the hospital yesterday, afternoon stated that his condition is quite serious.

Sale At Flat Woods
E. M. Richards held a going-outof-business pale at his Flat Woods Service Station and store Saturday, August 18, about 150 attend, ed the sale, where everything from bubble gum, chocolate, to pots, pans and automobiles was sold. Genial Joe Johnson cried the sale, assisted by John Nethers, and as usual had to stop every few minutes to remind the ladies he could not be heard and the bid-t ders could not be heard. Would they please be quiet for just a little while. After a morning of hard work by the bidders and Joe intermission was held. Lunch was served by Mrs. John Nethers. D. D. Miller clerked the sale and Dave Miller was cashier.
