Anthony C. Thornton
Anthony Cary Thornton, 41, died at his home in Culpeper Sunday, August 19, after an illness of several months. ( Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 21, from Precious Blood Catholic church, with interment in FairView cemetery. «
Tony Thornton had been manager of radio station WCVA in Culpeper for' the past year. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Thornton; his mother, two sisters, Miss Susie Thornton and Mrs. Silas Miller, and three brothers, John, James, and Gustavus Thornton. Xee Thornton and Jimmie Thornton are nephews, end Mrs.
Bodes Brown, Jr„ are nieces.

On Television
Miss Joe Ellen Worth, daughter of Mrs. Edward'Cary of Washington, and a student at Madison college, will sing over television on the Jim Gibbons show next Thursday evening, August 30, over station WMAL, channel 7, at 9 p.m.

A new restaurant on Route 29 between Madison and Charlottesville has been named the ‘Totem ‘ Pole,” and specializes in Indian lore, along with food food. The proprietors, ‘Mr. And Mrs. C. T. Guinn, Jr., are on hand to greet visitors. Mr. Guinn is well known in Rappahannock where be has, on numerous occasion, been engaged as surveyor.
