Soil Saver Notes
By L. B. Henretty
Culpeper and Rappahannock counties held preliminary meetings last week for representatives of agriculture, business, banking, and industry to discuss the functions of the various bureaus operating under the U. S. Department of Agriculture. The Department of Agriculture is requesting that all farmers express their frank opinions relative to how the various programs may be improved to render greater assistance to farmers. It is hoped that the individuals attending the meeting this week will discuss the programs with their friends and neighbors in order that all those attending the county-wide meeting will be in a position to give numerous suggestions.
This survey is known as the “Farm Family Policy Deview.” "Grass Root” reactions and suggestons on all of the farm programs from farmers is particularly requested. The Under Secretary of Agriculture specifically states that all persons making recommendations be identified and indicate if they are speaking as a representative of any organization.
