If our planes can fly non stop to Russia and back why shouldn’t we think they couldn’t do the same thing? They stole our B-29 during the last war. Then too here are a ferw facts that don't get in the press too frequently.

All Aircraft •Flights in the United States are NOW “controlled flights.” This is, each pilot must report when he is leaving for where, the route he plans to follow and check in by radio ait certain points along the route. In case of failure to do the latter, an interceptor goes up and checks the flight, etc.
8. Along the coasts, and I presume the Canadian border, our radars are manned constantly, constantly searching 24 hours a day.
Now with nil this precaution no doubt some are wondering, why it is necessary to have a ground observer corps? Simply because radar in its searching radius has blind spots as their radar waves travel in a straight line and mountains may block or stop their travel just as such stop or interfere with a television reception. Also since radar beams travel a straight course aircraft can sneak in through the depression on the upper sides formed by the intersection of overlapping beams from different radar and, too, planes could stay out of the radar search, ing field by flying in low.
