Sperryville V F D Answers

Call

Tuesday afternoon the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department answered a call from Ned Woodard of Sperryville. On arrival the firemen found the chimney of Mr. Woodard’s house on fire. This was extinguished in a short time, before considerable damage was done.

RESTAURANT SETS OPENING FOR MARCH 9

A new restaurant in the town of Washington will open Monday, March 9, according to Mrs. John Eubank, proprietor. Furniture and fixtures began to arrive yesterady and are being set up in the Watts Building, next to the Barber Shop, j With the dosing of Washington Cafe, operated by Carroll Racer, Jr-, 4* tewn had been without en eating place. Much favorable comment has greeted the opening of a restaurant to serve the town and tourists, and the same favorable comments follow Mrs. Eubsnk’s reputation as a cook.

Bake Sale

The Student Council Association of Flint Hill school will have a bake sale consisting of calces, cookies, eggs, candy, and doughnuts, Saturday, February 28 at Bradford's Store, Flint Hill.
