AUXILIARY MEETING
The Ladies' Auxiliary of the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department held their regular monthly meeting last Wednesday night. Mrs. Justis and Mrs. Horace Scott became members at this meeting. Following the meeting a card party was given for the benefit of the Auxiliary and $50 was added to the fund. Quite a few persons from Washington, Flint Hill and Warenton were present. The ladies wish to express their appreciation to the general public for the interest shown by attendance, donations and many other ways. A prize was given for the high score at each table and the door prize was won by Mrs. Richie Colvin.
RETURNS FROM KOREA
S/Sgt. David Marshall Dwyer, who has been in Korea, has arrived at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Dwyer for a 30-day furlough. Week-end guests in the Dwyer home were vtheir ^on-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Shade and son, Kenneth of Winchester.
