There will be a dance at the Washington School Friday night, February 20, given for fhe benfit Of the Easter Rally by Frances Gatewood. Come out and enjoy a plenty of good music and refreshments. Admission is 25c
The pupils of the Washington School gave a very interesting program as a contribution to Negro History Week, at die First Baptist Church last Sunday. Those talcing part on the program were: The Sketch of Negro History, Miss Janet Bailey; Negro Pioneers, Miss Josephine Bridgett; Negro Contemporaries, Miss Frances Gatewood; Negro In American Literature, Miss Catherine Ann Freeman; Examples of Negro Literature, Miss Louemma Fletcher; Negro Spirituals by the Junior Choir. The general theme was "The Negro Yesterday and Today."
I wish to thank one and all for - the amount of money taken in for the polio fund in Hampton District. Up to now it is $54.23.
