Reager 4-H members who were taking the project “Food for Pep” had their -dub contest Monday, April 13. There were 17 contestants, 7 boys and 10 girls. The demonstrations lasted 1 minute each and included aettktg the table, making a sandwich and wrapping it and measuring dry ingredients. » v
The demonstrations were judged by poinds; there were 7 points allowed on appearance and personality, and this included posture, neat hair-do, appropriate dress, low-heel leather shoes, (not suede) pleasing voice, and pleasing manner. Presentation covered 10 points some of which were adequate preparation, proper assembly of materials, efficient handling of equipment and poise. The third aspect on which the presentations were judged was results for which 6 points were allowed. This included accomplishment of purpose, whether ■subject was known thoroughly, whether attention of audience was maintained.
