Thursday, April 30—Spring Tieing at Mrs. Helen Smoot's at 9:30 a.m. «;FHday, May 1—Forest Grove 4-H at 11 a.m. Amissville 4-H at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2—County Council meeting at high sohool at 9:30 a.m. The trip to Charlottesville by the H.D. Clubs is planned for Tuesday, April 28, leaving Washington at 8:00 a.m. and retumng by 4:30 p.m. An itenerary of die trip is as follows: Go to Monticedlo from Washington ; from Monticello to Michies Tavern; eat at University Cafeteria; James Monroe Law Office and James Monroe House; and tour of gardens around Charlottesville. If you would like to take this trip with H. D. members please contact , home agent’s office. The District Meeting of Home Demonstration Clubs will be held in Madison on May 6 at the High School. The program will begin at 10:00 a.m. The theme “Tbdays Home Build Tomorrow’s World” will be used throughout the meeting. Mrs, George Taylor, Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, Miss Nellie Johnson and Mrs. Gilbert Updika have part in the days program. It is hoped Rapplc. will have at least 25 attending.
The Bake Sale held in Culpeper for the County Home Demonstration Committee cleared $32.40. Appreciation is extended to each of you H.D. members giving food and helping to collect and seU. A group of Sperryville leaders met at the VFW Hall for a Home Demonstration meeting Wednesday. Three of the group plan to go on a trip to Charlottesville. The demonstration was altering patterns and cutting of a blouse. This is a newly organized group of young homemakers and I have great hopes for
