GARDEN CLUB MEETING
The Rappahannock County Garden Club will meet Wednesday, April 29, at 2 p.m. in the heme of Mrs. C. E. Johnson' Jr.* Mrs. Harry Gallihugh will be in charge of the program and her subject will be “May Baskets.” The exhibit for the meeting will be a May Basket.^
Two Rappahannock County Garden Club members won top honors in the Luray Flower Show last week. Mrs. Charles Estes made and entered for the club a composition in tlfc InterClubClass-’Landmarks in Loveliness' This exhibit won the blue ribbon over two other entries. Mrs. Estes’ composition depicted an old mill in the country and was beautifully done in every detail.
Mrs. Estes won her second blue ribbon ip the dried arrangement “The Monument.” A composition of dried material in a figuerine. Mrs. R. E. Wood won a blue ribbon for her arrangement entered in the class, “Skyline Drive.” Mrs, Wood’s second arrangement in the class “The Gift theShops,” aq arrangement of spring beauty in silver was awarded a red ribbon.
