Firemen Call Opener
For Baseball Season
A practice game for the county firemen's baseball team will be held Sunday, April 26, on tlie 9chool diamond at Washington. The high school baseball team .will be on hand to give the Rappahannock , Chiefs the opening practice game of' the season.
All players are asked to be at the ball diamond by 1:30 so the team can be named to begin the playing for the day. It is imperative that all players who are going to play on the firemen’s team be present; the number of players must include players and sufficient substitutes to guarantee enough team members to begin the season.

Plans Hunt Ball — -
Announcement has been made by a special committee of the Rappahannock Hunt that a ball will be held Saturday, May 16, at “Meadowbrook Hall,” home of Mrs W. P. Slaughter, at Huntly. The committee comprises Mrs. W. P. Slaughter, Mrs. Wade, H. Massie III, Mrs. C. Raymond Wire, William K Moffett, Jr., and George Muth. The committee, planning to announce details of the event in the next few days, states that elaborate plans are being made in order to make this , Hunt Ball one of the outstanding events not only for Rappahannock county but for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
