Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ewing, two daughters and son, Ann, Sallie and Bill Ewing of Harrisonburg were overnight guests on Saturday of Miss Louise Schwartz who had as her dinner guests on Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Hening and William Deluay, a student minister at the Theolpgical Seminary, Alexandria, who conducted the morning service at the Episcopal church.
James F. Clater, who has been ill at his home for the past two weeks, has entered University hospital where he is receiving treatment and possibly an operation later. Those who visited him on Sunday were C. E. Johnson Jr., Mrs. Clater, and daughter, Miss Peggy Clater and Mrs. David Anderson. ,
Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffeyjr. were supper guests on Sunday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers in Flint Hill and later visited their brother-in-law and ssiter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Corder at Huntly. Mrs. Coffey* also visited her parents on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs R. E. Wood attended a bridge party on Saturday evening given by Mr. and Mrs R. T. Wingfield in Charlottesville. On Sunday, guests for dinner of Mr. and Mrs. Wood were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ewing and their three children, Ann, Sallie and Bill Ewing of Harrisonburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Aylette H. Buckner were hosts to a dinner party Saturday evening at their home near town. Their guests included Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Pillar, Miss Peggy Pillar, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Estes, Mr. and Mrs. John Davis, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kilby, Mrs. William Meade Fletcher, Mrs. Marie Hite and Mrs. D. Lyle Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin of Martinsburg, West Virginia spent the week end with Mrs. Martin’s mother, Mrs. Annie M. Welch.
Miss Charlotte Goltaday spent Sunday at the home of her parents in Woodstock.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kenneth who were enroute to their home in Vt. after spending the winter and spring months in Florida arrived Thursday at the home of their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Schaefer for a visit. Additional guests in the Schaefer honje on Sunday were their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. ^nd Mrs. Maurice Manuel and two children, Wallace * and Harriett Manuel.
