Levis Hugh Burke
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. from the Gourdvine Baptist Church for the little fifteen month old son, Lewis Hugh Burke, of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Davis Burke of Castleton, who died Saturday after a brief illness. Rev. Koy Peterson assisted by Rev. W. Franklin Cale conducted the services. Members of the church choir rendered sveeral song selections accompanied by Mrs. Edwin Fields at the organ. Interment was made in the Fairview Cemetery.
Lewis Burke is survived, besides his parents, by a twin brother, Russell B. Burke; two half brothers, James Donald Johnston and Franklin Eugene Johnston of Castleton; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Mills of Castleton; and Mrs. Bessie Burke of Culpeper.
Active pallbearers were William Burke, Claude Lee Burke, Ashby Estes, Melvin Settle -and Shelby Frazier. Flower bearers were Gladys Smith, Margaret Jenkins, Phoebe Anne Brown, Nancy Brown, Bobby Mills, Irma Jean Jenkins, and .others.
