National Heme Demonstration Week was May 3-3, with a theme of “Today’s Home Builds Tomorrow’s World.”
In the fiftieth anniversary year, it is recalled that S. A. Knapp, first director of Extension, realized. the importance of the home. It was he who said. “The home eventually controls the viewpoint of a- man; and you may do all that you are a mind to in schools, but unless you reach and get hold of that home and change its conditions, you are nullifying the uplift of the schools. We are reach- ing for the home.”
To emphasize the importance of the home and how the home demonstration work has helped in the homes, Mrs. Lily Barber, Mrs. B. Gentry, Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, and 'Mrs, C. R. Hite have expressed their views in letters. Home Maker’s Creed A* Homemakers, we will strive to:

Have our homes reach out in service to the communities and help unite the people.

Study the best ways to do everyday work, that we may find joy in common tasks .well done.
Be kind beyond the standards of charity; avoid thoughts and words that condemn; be more thoughtful than love requires; maintain the highest ideals of Christian life.
During National Home Demonstration Club week this year we looked carefully at our creed, which we repeat at each meeting. It is no small task to strive to have our club foster the highest ideals in our homes, for there it is the task of the individual member. As our homes live up to these ideals, the church, school and public life also improve.
Our homes must reach out in service to the communities, for we are ever learning new methods and skills that make our lives more pleasant, and this we must
