Sperryville Baptists

Vill Give Music Service

A worship service hour completely of music will mark the morning service Sunday, May 24, at Reynolds Memorial Baptist church, Sperryville.

According to an announcement by the Rev. A. Paul Thompson, this service will be entirely in song. The sermon will consist of an anthem by the Youth Choir of the church with Mrs. James Atkins and Jack Brown as soloists. The prayers, the Scripture lessons, and the complete service will be given in music.

Everyone is invited to join in this worship sendee.

Miss Elizabeth Hill Johnson

Funeral services were held Thursday morning, May 14, at 11 o’clock for Miss Elizabeth Hill Johnson, at Woodville cemetery.

Miss “Sis," a daughter of Henry Qay Johnson and Elizabeth Hill Johnson, had celebrated her 92nd birthday anniversary on May 8, four days before her death. She is survived by her sister, Miss Bertha Johnson.

Pallbearers were Raymond Johnson, Willie Morris, William Johnson, Rodes Brown, James Hill Wood, Jr., and Thomas V. Williams.
