Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gough was called to Arlington hospital on Monday because of the illness of Mr. Gough’s sister, Mrs. Carroll Dennis. Their daughter, Miss Caroletta Gough remained as the guest of Miss Elizabeth Verner.

Miss F. P. Glass is in Richmond visiting her sister, Mrs. E. F. Seagram, who is a patient in the hospital.

Mrs. A. M. Verner was a Sunday dinner guest of her son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Updike.

Mr. and - Mrs. Judd Burke were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke Thursday evening.

Trenton Burke and sons, Richard and Dick of Fredericksburg spent Sunday with Mr. Burke’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke, while Mrs. Burke accompanied some friends to the beach. Richard remained with his grandparents for a visit while Mr. Burke and Dick returned in the afternoon to Fredericksburg. Misses Marie and Mary Elizabeth Burke have moved into the upstairs apartment of Miss Annie Miller Almond’s in Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Biedler of Wasington, D .C. were week end guests of Mrs. Biedler's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Racer. Miss Becky Edmonds of Front Royal was a Sunday guest of Mrs. James Lillard. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Updike were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Brady of Winchester. Miss Paula Miller was a week end guest of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Reid of “Rose Cottage." Mrs. J. P. Cook, Linda and Ricky Cook of Flint Hill, Mrs. Day and Mrs. Emma Coppage of Richmond were guests of Mrs. C. G. Reid on Saturday.

Mrs. C. G. Reid was a guest of her son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller for several days the past week. Mrs. C. J. Stuart is spending sometime with her mother, Mrs. W. M. Stuart. Mr. and Mrs. James Eubank and sons, James and William of Fredericksburg were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. EuBank at Frand’s Kitchen. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Hickman had as their dinner guests Saturday evening, Mr. and Mrs. John R. DeBergh of Harris Hollow Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Smith of Warrenton and Mr. and Mrs. William Litsey of Alexandria spent the weekend at their home, Spring House Farm and attended on Saturday night the Hunt Ball which was at the home of Mrs. W. P. Slaughter. C. M. Price and friend, Nick Fratt of Arlington spent Monday at Mr. Price’s home, “The Maples.”
