County Contributes
113% of USO Quota
In a recent county-wide USO drive, Rapphannock contributed $223.50, against an assigned quota of $202, thereby reaching 113% of the county goal. The largest percent of quota reported from other districts was 107% reached by the Petersburg Community Chest.
Below is a letter received by Mrs. C. T. Bruce from the director of the USO drive: Dear Mrs. Bruce: * This will acknowledge with thanks your letter of December 30 addressed to Mr. Robert* T. Marsh, Jr., our Treasurer, enclosing check for $S_ as an additional contribution to the campaign for Rappahannock County.
As you have stated in your letter this latest credit brings the total fop Rappahannock County to $228.50 as against the assigned quota of $202 or 113% of the county goal. Please accept our congratulations.
