Selective Service Notice
Under the Universal Military" Training and Service Act, as amended, every male person residing in the United States who had not reached the age of 26 on 30 August , 1948, or has now reached tl?e age of 18 is required by law to register. If you have been discharged from active service and did not register under the Universal Military Training and Service Act before you entered, you are now required to register within 30 days following dqte of discharge.
Reports of Separation from the Armed Forces are mailed to the Selective Service Board having jurisdiction over the place of ^residence at entry into the Armed Forces. When a Local Board receives a report of separation, it is the duty of that Board to register the person, or to find out where the person is registered so that the papers may be properly filed.
