These trees will be planted along the highway at the approaches to the town and at other points throughout the town. Also, these boys will help achieve the goal of one new dogwood on the premises of every citizen. If you are unaable to plant a dogwood at this time, call 2231 on or before April 10th and these boys will plant a tree for you on April 12th. Land owners with an abundance of wild dogwood have generously given permission for the trees to be gotten from their property. The Town Council wishes to express its appreciation for the cooperation that has made possible this beautification project.

Learn To Take It Easy
For some years now the nation has witnessed the sad results of “supers speeds" on the rural highways in the “super-accidents" they cause. Deaths have mounted in rural areas consistently, while in urban sections fatalities have remained at about the same levels or declined.
The only valid reason seems to be that motorists, who definitely are not “Super-drivers" and therefore control the “super-speeds” of their vehicles are having far more accidents on the open road than in the days before the “horsepower race" began.
