Can You Believe? ■
Rev. H. G. Thach 'Can you believe that God is making progress in His great effort to have His will done on earth? It is true that millions are not lending a hand in the work of creating and maintaining the spirit of brotherhood and good-will among men; but it is also true that millions are. We are a part of the active Church when we are numbered among those who believe, trust, and give time and money to the great work God is doing.
We may * not flbe able to believe that God’s Spirit is active and beating the human pilgrimage on its way because we have lost the sense of His action in our own lives. It is the downfall of nations, but not of God, when the people, one by one, lose the sense of th peaee bringing activity iof the Holy Spirit.-God has not forsaken the people and He does prove Himself to every individual who believes. One who believes in God surely has the assurance that God is not going to be defeated in His plans for his world even though millions chose to sit on the side-lines and criticize. Yes, millions fall by the way-side because they stop believing that God proposes to have His will be done. ,
