Notice of Democratic Convention
for the
Seventh Congressional District of Virginia
Pursuant to a resolution duly adopted by the Democratic Congressional Committee of the Seventh Congressional District of Virginia at a duly called meeting held in the city of Richmond, Virginia, Thursday, March 4, 1954, notice is hereby giyenthat a convention of tjie Democratic Party for the Seventh Congressional District of Virginia will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, the 22nd day of May, 1954, at the Waynesboro High School in the City of Waynesboro, Virginia, consisting of delegates and alternates to be elected from each of the 14 Counties and 5 Cities in the,manner provided by tjie Plan of Organization of the Democratic Party of the State of Virginia on the basis of representation of one (1) delegate for each seventy-five (75) votes, or major fraction thereof, cast in the respective Counties and Cities for the Democratic candidate for Governor in the General Election held on the 3rd day of November, 1953.
The said conyentibn is called for the purpose of nominating a Democratic candidate for the-House of .Representatives in the 84th Congress qf the United States for the ^Seventh Congressional District of Virginia^ and for such other business as may properly come before said convention. . * »
