Rep, Harrison upon his renomination and later to U. S. Senators A. Willis Robertson, who was a member of the Rockbridge county delegation. Both will be on the Democratic ticket November 2 and both predicted there are many signs that the Democrats will have the majority in the two houses of the next Congress.
James W. Fletcher, Seventh District Chairman, called the assembly to order and on a report of the committee on permanent organization, Fred Switzer, of Harjrisonburg, Virginia National Committeeman, was named permanent chairman of the convention. An address of welcome was given by Felix E. Edmunds of Waynesboro and a response made by Hon. Charles H. Davidson of Lexington. _
