Chiefs Win Over
Front Royal, 4-1 The Rappahannock Chiefs scored a 4-1 victory over the Front / Royal A.C.’s, Sunday afternoon, as Jackie Sisk held the Athletic Club to 3 hits in a close contest between 2 well matched teams. The score was 1-1 until in the eighth inning, a Athletic Club’s fielder misjudged a hard hit ball, * struck by Strother Brown, and let it fly over his hit for a three baser. Sunday evening was excellent baseball weather and the attendance at the game was good. There was a fair backing of the team from the home towns of Washington and Sperryville. CHIEFS , - ab r h
