Enter Parade
Alongside of bands, floats, and exhibits of fire fighting equipment, the Amissivlle and Washington Volunteer Fire Companies will march proudly this Friday evening as they represent Rappahannock in the annual parade sponsored by the Culpeper Volunteer Fire Department. The parade begins at 6:30 in the N.E. section of Culpeper and enters main street about one block south of Dick Weaver’s.
Following the “Big Parade,” there will be numerous carnival attractions such as pony rides, ferris wheel, swings, dart i)oard, country store and merry-go-round. Another main attraction is the Gigantic auction sale beginning on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Sperryville Volunteer Fire Company will remain in the county to insure citizens of protection while Washington Fire Company is out of this section of the county. Sperryville attended the Apple Blossom Parade and will appear in the Warrenton Parade.
