Council Advances Ideas To Include In Town Leaflets
The December meeting of the Washington Town Council, held Tuesday night, centered around a discussion of the proposed town leaflets. In addition the five members present, disposed of minor business matters.
Each council member offered ~ suggestions as to what to include - on the bulletin, and the form in which it would be presented. Mrs. Davis, mayor, brought up several __ places of unusual interest in the vicinity of Washington, for example Devil Stairs, which might be included on the sketched map of the town. These sites would speak of the true personality of the town, as to most citizens they are familiar landmarks.
