Auxiliary Sponsors Decoration Contest
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Washington Fire Company will sponsor^ the Annual Christmas Decoration Contest for the Town of Washington, having as their theme this year, “Putting Christ Back Into Christmas.” They purpose to help create the spirit of Christmas with this chosen project.
Members of the Flint Hill Garden Club will judge the night of December 23rd at 7 p.m.
First, second and third prizes will be awarded on the following, originality, artistry and color harmony. Displays will include doorway, window an^ yard decora tions. „
The following specific points will be used by the judges: 1. The real meaning of Christmas and suitability to the surroundings, 40 points; 2. Perfection of workmanship and ingenuity, 20 points; 3, Excellence of arrangement and color harmony, 20 points; 4. Durability of material and designed to last throughout the holiday, 20 points.
